Brrr! These past few weeks have been especially brutal, and in these winter months, you definitely need to amp up your skincare regimen to prevent dull and dry skin.
Here are some products that I have been loving recently to help combat winter dryness and to keep my skin looking fresh and dewy:
I was able to sample this in a Birchbox and WOW! A little too thick (for my preference) for daytime/under makeup, so I just apply a little at night. When I wake up, my skin feels so smooth, and most importantly, hydrated. I cannot recommend this product enough - and at $28, you get the luxurious feeling of a high end creme without the hefty pricetag.
Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre, $28.00
La Mer is a holy grail brand for so many women, and I can definitely see why. With the price/quantity, I only use this in the daytime. It makes my makeup glide on smoothly with a flawless finish. Also, it keeps my skin hydrated all day without any oiliness or shine! Amazing. If you are willing to spend the money, it is absolutely worth every penny.
La Mer Creme de la Mer, $150-275
For me, all of this winter dryness is causing breakouts, and breakout treatments create more dryness. It really is just an endless cycle of blah! I recently discovered Mario Badescu and have quickly jumped on the MB bandwagon. The products are such high quality, and the reason he is able to offer such quality skincare is because the packaging is not extravagent (::cough cough:: La Mer, we're talking about your glass containers...). The Mario Badescu Healing & Soothing Mask helps to rehydrate and minimize redness and discoloration. It's very gentle on the skin and definitely works! Mario Badescu Healing & soothing Mask, $20.00
Don't forget your hands!
L'Occitane Hand Cream, $10.00
