3 good things

Happy Friday!  What a relief.  This week has been such a whirlwind of work, wedding planning and taking care of my poor sick fiance.  If you aren't sick yet, disinfect everything!  Got to avoid that winter flu, y'all.

1. Martha Stewart Living Closets

We are getting the house ready to move in (which we are doing today! ah!), and the first thing I wanted to do was to build a closet.  The Martha Stewart Living DIY closets from the Home Depot are AMAZING.  I cannot recommend them enough.  Pricing for the cheapest professional custom closet was somewhere in the $3,000 range, but given the size of the space I was working with, it probably would have been much more.  Martha Stewart to the rescue!  We purchased enough shelves, bars, drawers, etc. for around $600.  A fraction of the cost, in the scheme of things.  The directions are simple, and I was shocked at how easily it all came together.  Martha knows best, y'all.  If you are short like me, you will probably need someone tall to help you out!  The brackets and screws go up pretty high, so grab a tall friend :)

2. Move-in day!

After months of prepping, we are finally ready to move in!  We painted, got the floors refinished, re-did the kitchen cabinets, built a closet...and now it's finally ready!  I'm most excited about getting to decorate a totally blank space and make it home for me + fiance + our dog. 

3. The Grammys

Award season is always exciting - fabulous fashion and glamorous awards shows.  This Sunday, the Grammys will be on CBS at 8/7c.  The performances this year are insane - Dierks Bently and Miranda Lambert, Elton John with Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake (whaat!), Carrie Underwood, etc. etc. etc. To see the complete list, click here.
