3 good things

This has been such a busy week work-wise and wedding planning-wise!  Just 71 days until the big day - I can't believe how these weeks are just flying by.

1. Wedding Venue.  Can you believe this is where I'm getting married?  The garden is so beautiful, and I feel really lucky to be able to spend my special day here!

2. Tieks.  OH EMM GEE how obsessed am I with these Tieks?  I ordered my first pair (matte black) last week, and they just arrived a few days ago.  Since then, they have been non-stop on my feet at all times.  They are the most comfortable flats I've ever owned, and the leater feels buttery soft.  The turquoise heel is the perfect pop of color!  I almost died when I saw how cute the packaging is.  Don't be afraid of the price tag.  These babies are SO worth every penny.

 



3. DIY Dessert Tiers.  After searching high and low for vintage china, I finally collected enough pieces to make my dessert tiers for the wedding.  This is part of the result (I made 10 total).

NBC's Fashion Star

Maybe this season of Fashion Star is flying under the radar, but I recently saw a huge ad for the show in my local Macy's and had to check it out.  Basically, designers are given the opportunity to have their designs picked up by Express, Macy's and Saks.  The pieces so far seem to be pretty one note and all party dresses - hopefully they will introduce some variety into the mix as the season progresses! 

You can watch Fashion Star on NBC every Friday at 8/7c.  After the show, the pieces are available for purchase online!

Friday!  I thought this day would never come!  Spring is in the air, it's getting warmer outside, and I'm feeling inclined to wear colors other than black.  Let's get to it -
